This wine is in prime form right now. I don't like older wines. The tannins have settled nicely and are very smooth. The wine still has good fruit, currants, fruitcake, plums and blackberries. The best thing is the cinnamon on the finish. It's a shame that I will never be able to buy this wine at the price I paid a few years ago.

I thought the wine was a bit flat and the tannins a bit too strong. This is a wine that needs to age a few more years at least. Could taste the potential of this 2005, but if you have some of this, don't open it for a couple years

Dark red color with brown hue. Nice nose of graphite, dirt and dark fruits. Wonderful smooth texture and weight on palate. Lots of nice fruit as well. Medium length finish fell a bit short. Soft tannin, easy drinking.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
