The highly regarded Ferrington Vineyard gained its reputation with the excellent releases from Williams Selyem in the mid 1990's. It begins with a lighter more sublime character that gains with air finally encompassing the true expression of the vineyard with ripe black fruit and hints of sweet tobacco with well formed acidity on the palate. I can't help but think of this wine with roasted duck.
