White Chardonnay - Grand Cru
Producer Notes

The Fevre family has been an integral part of the Chablis landscape for upwards of 250 years. Oyster shells, white flowers; sea and sun; every sip more engaging...and long long long. Amazing how big the gap between premier and grand can be.

Pale and luminous. Ultra-marine nose with citrus grace notes. Elegant, refined, almost light-bodied, and with strong fruit presence for a 2004 (several blind tasters misidentified the vintage). Very long, herb-infused finish. A superb showing.

Drink Dates 2007-2015

Beautiful aromas of citrus, pear, lemon peel. Nice medium body, hint of toasted almond on the finish. The oak adds depth but not overbearingly so, however the limestone/gravel is harder to perceive because of it.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
