Paraduxx is a freeform riff on whatever makes the best wine in a particular year. Not surprisingly Zinfandel dominates as usual (Only in 2003 was the wine an homage to Cabernet Sauvignon). Made in its own facility south of Oakville on the east side of the valley, Paraduxx can hold its own against the other super blends of the wine world and is a stellar example of the genre.

The wine is beautifully aromatic with sassy briary red fruits; raspberry and pomegranate. The palate shows excellent focus with ripe and bright currant, cherry and raspberry flavors.

Silky mouth feel. Strong berry fruit, but balanced by the tannins.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
