Low US Retail is updated twice a month and excludes outlier listings. Detailed listings are sourced daily from our partner, Global Wine Stocks, and may include outliers. Note that you can use the 'Report a problem' link which appears after clicking on any individual listing to notify our content team and partner of incorrect wine matches.
Auction prices are based on actual auction results (inclusive of buyer’s premiums) of 750ml bottle sizes only. As auction prices fluctuate from auction to auction and some wines have limited auction activity, the average auction price is updated twice a month and derived from a proprietary algorithm.

An utterly gorgeous wine that benefited from the mistake of opening it early but having to reseal with some saran wrap and eventually vacuvin so was getting some oxidation for most of 2 days...and I'll say the air time was helpful as this opened up gorgeously and had gobs of delicious sour cherry and blackberry fruit and just lingered on the palate forever...truly something special from Washington not to mention great with Thanksgiving leftovers. Probably the crowd pleaser of the weekend.

Very dark. Hint of garnet at the edge. Terrific nose with smoke, tobacco, bittersweet chocolate, boysenberries, mushrooms and compost. Very good fruit. Lots of over ripe cherry. Smooth and silky. A bit of tannin on the finish. With such a great nose I expected a lot more, but it failed to deliver finishing a bit short. Unmemorable. A very good wine, but not excellent. I have 5 more bottles and I'm skeptical about it getting better. (My wife commented: 'It's like the woman you think is beautiful, but isn't.â? :-)

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
