Pretty good wine but not too exciting. Cherry and funk on the nose. More cherry, spices and red fruit on the palate. Medium bodied with a slightly hollow midpalate. This is drinking pretty well so I'll probably go through my remaining btls in the next 2 years.

Wonderful flora nose but the finish was tight and didn't linger enough. The wine is tantalizingly close to perfect but maybe needed more time to breath (only gave it 30+ mins). Time in the bottle should also help and hope to try again next year.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
