While shopping for dinner tonight, I stumbled upon this wine as well as a 2000 Tertre-Roteboeuf in the wine section. It has been a long wait for the cr?me de la cr?me of the 2000 Bordeaux to arrive but based on this wine it seems worth it. Deep, red purple colored wine that is opaque at the center, with thick, slightly pigmented legs. A clean and strong nose of hung game, cassis liqueur, smoke, and dried plum. Moderate plus tannins coupled with high acidity lead to a 30 second finish. Mainly unformed dark fruits and minerals with plenty of new oak at present. Quite fine.
