Slightly past its prime maybe but I love this mature cab blend. Sappy, extracted blackberry, black and red currant, and black cherry fruit. Flavors of kirsch, pine resin, sweet tobacco, bacon fat, and new saddle leather add wonderful complexity. Well-balanced with finely grained, silky tannins. Lengthy, smooth, flavorful finish. Really delicious and I will try to find more.

Give this one time to open (40 mins) and it will surprise you. Not as silky smooth as Insignia, but well balances with some tannins and subtle fruit. Improved with time but never completely got there

Strives for complexity, its herb, dill and mustard seed flavors mixed in with leathery, gamy currant, anise and earth notes.

A flawed bottle may be affected by cork taint, heat (maderized), oxidation, or excessive sulfur. Additionally, some people consider wines tainted by Brettanomyces (Brett), a non-spore forming genus of yeast, a flaw although there is much controversy surrounding the subject.
