Dunn Vineyards is located east of St. Helena in the town of Angwin on Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. In 1972 Randy and Lori purchased the original vineyard property. The winery was established in 1979, with the first harvest of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Not Dunn's best vintage ( see ''87 and '91) but very good and still has plenty

black cherry, Well developed much more so than the 1992 or 1993. After open for an hour the fruit shone through. On the of the most impressive tasting dunn Howell mountains of the 1990's, however i suspect it will not last as long as some of the earlier Dunn Howell muntains.

Wine was fantastic but took several hours to open up. Would recommend opening three to four hours before drinking.

Huge. Decanted at 8AM to be served with Beef tenderloin at 5PM. Great nose, intense and powerful, round flavors that filled your mouth and stayed for some time. Made me think I should have decanted it the day before! Will enjoy watching this evolve in the next 20 years.
