This wine was singing. In perfect "en pointe" it had a wonderful perfume, fabulous flavors and was just beautiful.

After a 2 hour decant, consumed over 6 hours. Medium bodied, garnet edge to edge and very closed at first then opening up to mushrooms, spice, hints of cedar and linseed, tobacco, smoke, raspberries and limestone. Fruit is still there, but may be falling out. Requires some coaxing. Soft tannins. Raspberries, currants, tart cherry, minerality, some olive. Fully mature and past its prime.

Drink Dates 2000-2015

Licorice on the nose. Saddle leather, cassis and blackberry on the palate. Medium body with a nice finish. This is ageing beautifully but may not get any better than it is drinking now.

Notes consistent with previously. 6th bottle of 12 in a year now and i'm sure this is peaking or just past so drink now. Fades after 45 mins+ in caraff. The wine is absolutely lovely and so elegant.
