This red is very spicy in aroma, evoking rose, wild cherry, sandalwood and cardamom notes, with a hint of clove. The fruit is allied to a linear frame and defined by lively acidity, playing out on the long, stony aftertaste. Best from 2022 through 2040. 140 cases made, 6 cases imported. — BS

A highly spiced nose of red currant, cassis, violet, lilac and sandalwood precedes the rich and caressing yet punch medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate while delivering fine length on the firm and grippy finish. Like the Bressandes, this too needs to add depth but again, that should occur over time.
