Rita Tua and her husband Virgilio Bisti bought their property in 1984 and planted 45 acres of the clay and silt soil to Cabernet and Merlot. Stefano Chioccioli presides over winemaking and produces just 3,400 cases annually, making Tua Rita wines some of the most difficult finds in Italy.
