The 2016 Pommard 1er Cru Les Pezerolles came in untouched by the frost, but that still only equates to around 350 liters or just one large barrel of wine. It has a pretty red cherry and redcurrant-scented bouquet that is feminine and unassuming yet (again) extremely well defined. The palate is structured, as you would expect from Pommard, the tannins fine and detailed with an edgy, focused finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is a riveting Pommard from Lafarge that has so much coiled up energy that it makes you feel revivified after imbibing.Drink Dates: 2019 - 2035Author: Neal MartinIssue: 234
