    A restrained, even discreet assortment is comprised by notes of maraschino cherry, spice, plum and violet. Here too there is excellent volume and mid-palate concentration to the very rich, round and caressing medium weight plus flavors that also brim with sappy dry extract before concluding in a dusty, mildly warm and austere finish where a hint of dryness slowly emerges. Once again my sense is that the dryness will eventually largely dissipate though where that will be enough for the finish to completely harmonize is an open question. With that said, my rating offers the benefit of the doubt that it will.

    Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2014 Pinot Noir Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard is a little closed to begin, offering subtle tar and roses suggestions over notes of black cherries, mulberries, lavender and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate gives beautiful freshness, with a satiny texture and wonderful energy.

    The 2014 Pinot Noir Lewis MacGregor Estate Vineyard is one of the most compelling wines in this range, as it brings together the inherent richness of the Russian River with bright, salivating minerality that gives the flavors an extra kick of brightness. Bright red cherry, pomegranate, white pepper, chalk and blood orange are all beautifully delineated throughout. Simply put, this is an impeccable Pinot from Williams Selyem. Don't miss it!
