2014 Donelan Chardonnay Genevieve's Block
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / SONOMA
Wine Advocate | Rating: 96
From Goldridge soils and a single-vineyard on a west-facing hillside not far from the village of Sebastopol, the 2014 Chardonnay Genevieve's Block displays a beautiful greenish/light gold color, notes of spice box, honeysuckle, caramelized citrus and wet pebbles, and a medium to full-bodied, somewhat grand cru Leflaive Batard-Montrachet-like green citrus and apple blossom and honeyed richness. This is full-bodied, powerful, and impressive. It was aged 10 months in 38% new French oak prior to bottling and should drink well for 5-7 years.Author: Robert Parker
