Vinous | Rating: 93Carlisle's 2014 Zinfandel Pagani Ranch is dark, fleshy and inviting. Black cherry, plum tobacco and spice give the wine its bold personality. Pagani is distinguished by its intense fruit and equally biting acids. Mike Officer added a touch more Alicante in 2014 to balance some of the overtness of the vintage. This is a bit more reticent than it was from barrel.Author: Antonio Galloni
Wine Spectator | Rating: 90This has a lot going on but is slow to reveal itself. Dark cherry, black licorice and smoky sage aromas combine with brooding flavors of blackberry, clove and pepper.Author: Tim Fish
