Burghound | Rating: 89Here the expressive nose blends both red and dark currant with notes of plum, spice and a hint of earth. I like the mouth feel of the delicious and caressing, indeed almost tender middle weight flavors that possess a straightforward, punchy and ever-so-slightly rustic finish. To be sure this moderately robust effort offers solid quality but in this range of heavyweights, it's outclassed.Author: Allen Meadows
Vinous | Rating: 91The 2013 Pinot Noir Vista Verde Vineyard is bold, juicy and forward. Ripe red and blue fruit and sweet spices give the Vista Veder much of its exotic, flamboyant personality. The 2013 offers terrific up-front appeal, although it loses some persistence through the mid-palate and finish. Still, the 2013 will deliver plenty of pleasure, especially over the next few years.Author: Antonio Galloni
Wine Spectator | Rating: 87Wilted rose, blueberry and cherry scents lead to a delicate, medium-weight style.Author: James Laube
Quality across the board is exceptionally high, with especially notable Pinot Noirs. There are no secrets to Williams Selyem's success: they seek low yield, fully ripened grapes from superb vineyard sources.
