The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Blue Line (86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot and the rest Malbec) is rich, with medium to full body, the classic tobacco leaf and crème de cassis notes, and again, very good purity and length. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.Drink Dates: 2016 - 2031Author: Robert ParkerIssue: 222

Proprietor Jeff Smith has developed Hourglass Cabernet into one of the most anticipated releases each year since its debut in 1997. Winemaker (and Jeff's fellow band mate) Bob Foley gets the most out of this vineyard, named for its location at the narrowest point of the Napa Valley, just north of St. Helena. Production is consistently under 1000 cases.
