A smooth, supple entry leads to an understated mix of dusty berry, cedar, gravel, currant and licorice flavors, gaining depth, nuance and tenderness as the tannins integrate.

From a vineyard just 200 yards away, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tin Box is another 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from clone 7. This wine plays it slightly closer to the vest, showing plenty of earthy forest floor notes interwoven with white flowers, creme de cassis, licorice and cedar wood. It is full-bodied, rich, and while being made from a different clone of Cabernet Sauvignon, the aging in barrel is in part similar - 75% in new Taransaud, but the balance aged not in Gamba, but rather in new Darnajou. This wine should go on for 20-25 years at minimum.
