The 2012 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is another beauty. This wine boasts beautiful sweet oak, loads of blackcurrant liqueur, licorice, smoke and forest floor, followed by enormous extract, massive fruit, a full body and a long finish with sweet tannin and low acidity. This is a stunning and classic, majestic effort from Kirk Venge that will age well for 30-40 years.

This big, rich, opulent style combines power and finesse, with gorgeous aromas and supple flavors of currant, blackberry and black cherry that are intense and focused. The tannins are big and expressive, imparting excellent structure and a long, persistent finish. Ends with a dash of minerality.
