International Wine Cellar | Rating: 92(15.5% alcohol): Good deep red. Brooding aromas of blackberry, tart cherry stomp, black licorice, caraway seed, violet and spicecake. Silky, broad and dry, with excellent intensity to its red cherry and spice flavors. Not a monster of color or thickness--and a bit inexpressive today--but subtle and nuanced. Spreads out nicely on the back end, showing a firm tannic spine and plenty of depth and medicinal dark cherry reserve for aging.
