Wine Advocate | Rating: 94The 2012 The Banshee Proprietary Blend is a big, full-flavored and intense wine that checks in as a blend of 40% Syrah, 35% Grenache and 25% Mourvedre. Aged 17 months in 30% new oak, with plenty of whole cluster, it has that same chalky minerality that is common in all of Scott's wines to go with lots of blueberry, black raspberry, herbes de Provence, tar and dried flowers. Savory, full-bodied, layered and beautifully made, with high-quality tannin, it's already drinking nicely, but will benefit from a few years of bottle age and have 10-15 years of overall longevity.Author: Jeb Dunnuck
