2012 Harris Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Jake's Creek Vineyard Limited Reserve

Good deep ruby-red. Very dark aromas of purple berries, licorice and black olive. Densely packed and much more backward than the 2011 version, offering deep flavors of black fruits, bitter chocolate and licorice pastille. Nicely balanced wine with substantial building tannins. This vineyard block, which has a high water table, has been dry-farmed since 2010, according to winemaker Thomas Brown. Excellent potential here.
