An impressive barrel sample, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon soars from the glass with lots of blackberry, licorice, black currant, graphite and a touch of toasty oak aromas. Expansive, broad and intense, this fleshy, full-bodied Cabernet should be delicious young, but age nicely for 15 or more years.

Full ruby-red. Much more reticent on the nose today than the 2011, hinting at primary black fruits and licorice. Sweet, fine-grained and very ripe but still a tad youthfully raw and in need of more time in barrel to fill in and harmonize. This tactile, energetic wine is clearly longer than the 2011 but tricky to taste today.

Gushes with rich, opulent dark berry and dark chocolate flavors, revealing hints of dried herb and cedary oak. The youthful vitality is present on the finish, where this takes on a gutsy, chewy, loamy earthiness. Best from 2017 through 2030. 400 cases made.
