Brilliant ruby-red. Black raspberry, Asian spices and pungent flowers on the nose. Intense dark berry and rose pastille flavors show a subdued sweetness and very good clarity. I like the interplay of savory and sweet qualities here. Chewy and focused on the clinging finish.

  • Recognized as one of the top producers in the Pacific Northwest, St. Innocent focuses primarily on vineyard-designated Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc rounding out the portfolio. The winery was founded in 1988 by winemaker and president Mark Vlossak with the intent of producing terroir-specific bottlings that "complement and extend the pleasure of a meal." 2007 marked the first vintage for St, Innocent in a new gravity-flow winery, and just a year prior the first vineyard land was purchased, a portion of the Zenith Vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills. Total production is 6,800 cases.
