(these vines were replanted in 2001): Pale straw-yellow with a green tinge. Quite delicate and reticent on the nose and palate, hinting at yellow fruits. Stylish and light on its feet, offering enticing inner-mouth perfume for young vines and a fresh, persistent finish. Very understated today: will this develop more complexity and grip with a few years in the bottle?

A rich, opulent white, this exhibits pear, melon, lemon and spice aromas and flavors. Picks up a steely mineral note midpalate and builds to a long, saturated finish. Intense and long.
