(60% grenache, 30% syrah and 10% mourvedre): Vivid ruby. Deeply pitched dark berry and floral pastille aromas are complemented by notes of spicecake and smoky minerals. At once rich and lively on the palate, offering gently sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors and a hint of white pepper. Finishes sweet and very long, with resonating spiciness and smooth, even tannins.Author: Josh RaynoldsIssue: January/February 2014
