The 2011 Bourgogne Blanc has an intriguing bouquet: taut and linear, not a million miles from a Puligny-Montrachet. The palate is crisp on the entry with a fine line of acidity, remaining very strict with plenty of fresh lime and dried apricot furnishing the finish. This is precise and very pure, a sprightly white Burgundy to enjoy in its flush of youth. Drink now-2018.

  • According to Robert Parker, "Jean-Francois Coche-Dury is one of the greatest winemakers on planet Earth." Parker' impassioned reverence to this estate in the late '80s brought its appeal worldwide, but neither triple digit scores nor critical acclaim need speak for the insanely low yields and meticulous winemaking that give Domaine Coche-Dury its mystique.

Approximately half of the domaine's nine hectares of vineyards are situated around its hometown of Meursault, and although Coche is best known for Chardonnay, the domaine also bottles six exquisite Pinot Noirs. Famous for the extensive oak treatment and a staggering 22 months in barrel, Coche Dury's finest wines, such as Corton Charlemagne and Meursault Perrieres, have power, concentration, purity, and depth balanced by vibrant acidity for extreme longevity.
