Saturated medium ruby. Currant, blackberry, black raspberry, mocha and tobacco on the inviting nose. Sweet, lush and highly concentrated, offering a compellingly pliant, generous texture to the dark fruit, tobacco and smoky mineral flavors. Finishes very long, with sexy soil complexity and suave, broad tannins that spread out to saturate the palate. This Conn Valley cabernet communicates strong site and soil character.

Supple-textured, with ripe, fleshy red berry fruit and touches of raspberry, cranberry and currant. Well-proportioned, this ends with a smooth, tapered finish. Drink now through 2021. 975 cases made.

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate wraps around the palate with serious depth, roundness and silkiness. This is a surprisingly understated wine from Seavey that appears to still be holding back much of its potential. Sweet tannins frame the impeccable, polished finish. The 2010 clearly needs time in bottle, although it is impressive, even today. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030.

Dark and lovely. A big, bold, rich and full bodied Napa Cab that I really like. Ripe, extracted dark fruit with a smooth mouth-feel, smooth tannins and a lingering finish. On second inspection RP is rating this one 97 points. A small production Cabernet that I highly recommend.

The flagship offering from Seavey is their Cabernet Sauvignon known for its classic Bordeaux styling, richness, and longevity, with some vintages achieving 30-40 years of cellaring potential. This wine is built for strength and ageability, with long macerations and three years of barrel and bottle aging prior to release.

Seavey wines are very well-received by critics and fans alike, and since the inaugural 1990 vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, all Seavey Vineyard grapes are used exclusively for the estate produced wines.
