This was shipped to me leaking and for that reason instead of giving it 15-20 years of age it needed to be opened a lot sooner vs. later - and it was a wine that continued to get better and better throughout the evening. Classic, textbook Brunello in almost every facet but the heat was extremely evident and it felt like this wine was alive, dancing every which way across the palate but the fruit was just fantastic. There was the classic dry cherry but felt like there were black (plums) and blue fruits (berries) working here also. The structure of this wine was massive and dry so perhaps there was not as much urgency - but thankfully I have 2 more on the way. Excited to try this when its had some years on it.
