2010 Marcassin Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / SONOMA
Wine Spectator | Rating: 92
Combines richness with elegance and detail, offering a core of green apple, lime- and lemon-laced citrus flavors, with touches of honey, spice and graphite. Lemon meringue notes emerge on the finish.Author: James LaubeWine Advocate | Rating: 99
With a slightly smokier edge to the honeysuckle, poached pear, pineapple and caramelized citrus notes, the 2010 Chardonnay Marcassin Vineyard hits the palate with a full-bodied, thunderous affect of fruit, glycerin and acidity. The wine reveals some smoke in the aromatics, but little, if any, in the flavor profile. Full-bodied, lovely, and again, close to perfection (as so often these wines are), this is a beauty to drink over the next decade or more.Author: Robert Parker

Firing on all cylinders but no rush to drink up. Sadly my last bottle. Best California Chardonnay produced year in and year out.Author: Daniel BSelf | Rating: 94
Very rich, just enough acidity. Some nice toast/smoke notes on the nose. still very full but I wouldn't keep it any longer. Drink up as it is showing beautifully nowAuthor: John Yoyodyne
One of the most influential mavens of modern California winemaking, Helen Turley creates in Marcassin wines that are among the most sought-after in California. Though the wines are made following a traditionalist Burgundian style, they are unique, complex representations of California Pinot and Chardonnay. Turley's straightforward winemaking philosophy is, "...great vineyards, meticulously farmed, limited yield, long hang time and natural yeast."
