Wine Advocate | Rating: 92The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles has a more broody nose than one would expect, gradually unfurling to reveal dried honey, peony and quince scents that are clean and pure. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation on the entry. Nice tension here, although it needs just a little more complexity and personality on the bitter lemon-tinged finish. I suggest affording this Puligny five or six years in bottle and then you should have a lovely Pucelles. Alas, just two barrels were made in 2010. Drink 2015-2025.Author: Neal Martin
International Wine Cellar | Rating: 94Pale, bright yellow. Sexy aromas of lemon, wild herbs, wildflowers and honey. Silky and very intense, with a petrolly minerality enriching and energizing the middle palate. Elegant and seamless in the middle, then quite gripping on the rising back end, with a hint of tannins that stimulate the salivary glands.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: September/October 2012
