Burghound | Rating: 94This is quite similar to the Abbaye with its exotic yellow fruit nose that is a bit less overtly floral in character. There is outstanding richness to the muscular and full-bodied flavors that brim with palate staining dry extract that is present to the point of imparting a borderline chewy quality to the suave and velvety finish where the extreme richness is partially offset by a distinct saline element. I quite like this.Author: Allen Meadows
In 1984, Olivier Leflaive decided to create a new vision for the wines of Burgundy with the help of his brother Patrick and his Uncle Vincent. He had one ambitious objective in mind - to apply their collective knowledge to the vinification of the best vineyards in Burgundy. Although Leflaive purchases fruit from many different vineyards, he is involved in many of the growing decisions.
