2010 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet
FRANCE / BURGUNDY / PULIGNY-MONTRACHET
International Wine Cellar | Rating: 91
(still in tank): Bright pale yellow. Pure, subtle aromas of peach, lemon, floral oils and spices. Silky, suave and gentle but with excellent density for village wine. Quite laid-back today, with good mineral tension from start to finish. Finishes long and youthfully tight, and noticeably less sweetness than the very promising Bourgogne Blanc (also in tank) that preceded it in my tasting.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: September/October 2012Wine Advocate | Rating: 90
The 2010 Puligny-Montrachet caresses the palate with soft, expressive fruit. This beautiful, open Puligny villages will delight readers pretty much upon release. Hints of smoke, slate and crushed rocks are layered into the textured, inviting finish. It is another terrific entry-level offering from Leflaive.Author: Antonio Galloni
"If the blessed slopes of the Cote d'Or are home to the ultimate expression of Chardonnay, then Anne-Claude Leflaive could be regarded as the magician, some might use the word "shaman", who can conjure wine like no other from this propitious terroir." - Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate
