Peach and crushed rock on the nose. The tight palate offers a captivating sweet/tart character, with pineapple and grapefruit flavors given grip and solidity by a crushed stone element. Finishes with terrific energy and length. The crop size was down an average of 30% in 2010, and even more in the crus, notes Raphael Coche-Dury.

Slate, citrus, smoke and crushed rocks come to life in the 2010 Meursault Les Chevalieres. In 2010, the Chevalieres is utterly captivating, with seemingly endless layers of fruit and an explosive, totally engaging personality. The pedigree of the vintage is evident. This is a fabulous showing from Coche.

  • According to Robert Parker, "Jean-Francois Coche-Dury is one of the greatest winemakers on planet Earth." Parker' impassioned reverence to this estate in the late '80s brought its appeal worldwide, but neither triple digit scores nor critical acclaim need speak for the insanely low yields and meticulous winemaking that give Domaine Coche-Dury its mystique.

Approximately half of the domaine's nine hectares of vineyards are situated around its hometown of Meursault, and although Coche is best known for Chardonnay, the domaine also bottles six exquisite Pinot Noirs. Famous for the extensive oak treatment and a staggering 22 months in barrel, Coche Dury's finest wines, such as Corton Charlemagne and Meursault Perrieres, have power, concentration, purity, and depth balanced by vibrant acidity for extreme longevity.
