(60% new oak). An attractively fresh and bright mix of cool red pinot fruit, sour cherry, earth and mineral notes gives way to attractively rich, round and well-delineated medium-bodied flavors that possess fine depth on the firm, balanced and agreeably tension-filled finish. A lovely villages that is well worth your consideration.

Bright medium red. Vibrant, inviting aromas of red berries, flowers and mint. At once dense and tangy, with brisk acidity and a peppery element giving shape and grip to the flavors of cherry, berries, licorice, spices and smoky minerality. The dusty tannins hit the palate late, allowing the wine's fruit to express itself. Firmly structured for village wine.

The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin boasts striking purity in its bouquet. That intensity carries through to the palate, where a rich melange of dark red fruit, flowers and spices comes to life. The balance and overall sense of harmony here are first-rate. The Gevrey is immensely pleasing, even today.
