An extremely fresh and strikingly complex nose speaks of violets, anise, clove and cinnamon on the mA?Aclange of red and blue pinot fruit. The detailed and ultra fine middle weight flavors are also intensely mineral-driven and culminate in a posed, harmonious and explosively long finish where an interesting note of mandarin surfaces. Good bright, dark red. Raspberry, blueberry and pomegranate fruit aromas are complicated by exotic lichee and hints of peach and grapefruit. The silky palate shows a penetrating sweetness leavened by harmonious acidity, with captivating grapefruit and pineapple notes and firm underlying minerality contributing to the impression of precision. Very refined and lively wine, and not at all fat. Leaves a scent of red rose behind in the empty glass. Showing beautifully today.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: January/February 2011Wine Advocate | Rating: 95
The 2009 Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses is totally rich and seductive from the very first taste. Layers of fruit emerge effortlessly from this gracious, supple Amoureuses. The finest, silkiest of tannins frame a gorgeous finish. The 2009 shuts down quickly in the glass, which is not so good for now, but does bode very well for the future. The wine's vibrancy and sheer energy both suggest a long life ahead.Drink Dates: 2019-2034Author: Antonio Galloni
Comte de Vogue is often considered the greatest wine estate in Chambolle-Musigny. It traces its history back to 1450 and amazingly, after 20 generations, the same family still runs the show. The domaine owns 7.25 hectares of the Le Musigny vineyard; these average 40 years old and are labeled Vieilles Vignes. The property also includes smaller holdings of Bonnes-Mares and Premier Cru Chambolle-Musigny. The blending of tradition and modernity in winemaking has resulted in wines that are revered by critics and wine lovers around the world.
