International Wine Cellar | Rating: 91Medium red-ruby. Musky dark berries, plum, tobacco, dark chocolate and spices on the nose. Silky and suave, with a restrained sweetness and excellent definition to the flavors of cassis, tobacco leaf and fresh herbs. Finishes with a firm spine of ripe tannins and very good balance. This wine tightened up quickly in the glass and is ultimately less pliant and more in need of aging than the Rutherford cabernet.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: May/June 2014
Wine Advocate | Rating: 92The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville emerges from the glass with enticing dark plums, black cherries, menthol, tar and spices, all of which come together in a muscular, powerful style that is exceptionally beautiful. Layers of sepia-toned aromas and flavors round out the deep, spiced finish.Drink Dates: 2012-2021Author: Antonio Galloni
