Bright dark red. Currant, mocha, leather, animal fur and earth on the rather sauvage nose. Supple and open-knit, with an attractive sweetness to the flavors of red cherry, raspberry, menthol and herbs. The herbal element carries through to the finish, where the chewy tannins turn a bit dry with air. No shortage of body here, and bright on the finish.

Mid to dark crimson. Meaty, beguiling, almost sweet nose. Very worked and sculpted but just a bit sweet and tarty on the palate. Nice long finish but not quite enough refreshment value.
