Bright red-ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of blueberry, white pepper, bitter chocolate, rose petal and blood orange. Silky on entry, then seamless and light on its feet, with tangy intensity to the flavors of blackberry, violet and pepper. Lovely creamy underlying sweetness here, but graceful and shapely too. The vibrant rising finish features very fine-grained tannins and lovely length and grip. Really leaves the taste buds vibrating. Lovely use of whole-berry fermentation here.

This firm red shows rich baked berry pie-like flavors that are complex, layered and full-bodied. Ends with a minerally, spicy edge. Drink now through 2018. 1,350 cases made.
Hold till +2015. Was in something of a slumber. Pretty fine fruit and a nice tug of chalky earth bound up with the obvious structure to age. Quite lithe, but let it flesh out in bottle a little more and pick up some more character--it can definitely cruise for a handful of years.
