  • International Wine Cellar | Rating: 91

Bright red. Vibrant aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, rose, mint and white pepper. Fresh and juicy in the mouth, with lively acidity lifting sweet red fruit and floral flavors and adding bite. Finishes with very good cling and length and a suave strawberry preserve quality.

    Issue: May/June 2011
  • Wine Spectator | Rating: 92

Rich and layered, with ripe, dense, focused plum jam, wild berry, spice and floral scents. Full-bodied, gaining depth and tightening up on the finish, ending with an aftertaste of loamy earth.

  • The Fritz family founded Lynmar Winery in 1990 to produce world-class wines reflecting the character of the estate Quail Hill Vineyard and the Russian River Valley appellation. Quail Hill is a unique site in the region and is the exclusive source for the Reserve and Estate wines, as well as the foundation for the appellation-designated wines. The vineyard possesses superb qualities for growing world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The combination of the vineyard's soil composition, long growing season, dramatic elevation changes, and clone and rootstock selections make it a prime location for growing these varieties.

The character of the estate vineyard guides the signature Lynmar style for all of the wines; red wines with rich, full, deep, ripe berry flavors with natural acids and soft tannins, and white wines with balance, composition, and expressiveness.
