International Wine Cellar | Rating: 92Bright yellow. Intense, mineral-accented aromas of orange, quince and honeysuckle, with a spicy topnote. Nervy and focused on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering fresh citrus and orchard fruit flavors and subtle notes of iodine and candied ginger. Powerful but lithe, finishing with excellent clarity and lingering minerality.Author: Josh RaynoldsIssue: May/June 2012

As Vineyard Manager for Lee Hudson's "grand cru" property in the Carneros region of Napa Valley, Jason Kesner is closely connected to the natural production of world-class Chardonnay. Several years ago he began producing a Hudson-designated Chardonnay under the Kesner label. Since the inception, this small, 500-case production brand has set the standard for this amazing property. Kesner recently departed from Hudson to begin working with Russian River legend Steve Kistler.
