This is a wine that is concentrated, structured and fruit wealthy. On the nose, black pepper and florals (lavender?), along with some black fruits. On palate, blackberry, blueberry with a stemmy, tannic feel. Reminds me some of the Brewer-Clifton Pinots with that same structure from whole cluster, although I'm not sure how much cluster inclusion is on this Pax. Wine finishes with some espresso and some oak. The new oak can really be sensed after the glass is finished, as it coats the glass--Very lovely smell of wood. Extracted, concentrated and will only get better, giving that great fruit time to reach forward.Author: VinoDeparture
