Opaque violet color. Highly perfumed aromas and flavors of cherry, blackcurrant, violet and bitter chocolate. Dense, sweet and ripe, with a supple texture and a slow-building floral element. This very smooth, impressively concentrated syrah shows surprising elegance and finishes broad, sappy, floral and long.

The 2009 Syrah Goldridge emerges from the glass with an exciting, heady concoction of dark red fruit, flowers, spices and licorice. It possesses gorgeous focus, energy and drive from the very first taste. I especially like the energy and vibrancy here. Sweet floral notes are layered nicely into the finish.
Had with Pork Tenderloin and a nice chocolate dessert. This wine is still too young to drink; however, it had some nice legs to it. Nice fruit, slightly lead pencil to it and opened up over an hour and a half. I won't drink another bottle of this for another 3+ years. Hold it if you got it.
