2009 Cobb Pinot Noir Jack Hill Vineyard
UNITED STATES / CALIFORNIA / SONOMA
Wine Advocate | Rating: 92
The 2009 Pinot Noir Jack Hill Vineyard, from a site south of Occidental, is arguably the most immediate of the 2009 Pinots in this range. Dark red cherries, exotic spices, licorice and cloves all flesh out in a radiant, expressive Pinot that impresses for its accessibility. Even though the Jack Hill is quite open today, there is plenty of underlying structure to support years of positive development in bottle. A creamy, expressive finish rounds things out in style. The Jack Hill was made from fully de-stemmed fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.Drink Dates: 2013-2020Author: Antonio GalloniInternational Wine Cellar | Rating: 93
Vivid red. Bright, heady aromas of redcurrant, raspberry, allspice and fresh bay, with a sexy floral quality building in the glass. Juicy, sharply focused red fruit flavors offer a compelling blend of richness and vivacity, with zesty mineral and spice nuances contributing lift. Finishes with lingering florality and excellent spice-driven persistence.Author: Josh RaynoldsIssue: May/June 2012
