($30) Vivid ruby. Fresh red berries and flowers on the nose, with sexy Asian spice and mineral notes adding vivacity. Lively and precise in the mouth, offering sweet strawberry and raspberry flavors and strong spicy cut. Fine-grained tannins come up on the finish, which is impressively focused, juicy and long. This is delicious now but balanced to age.

Full bodied and mouth filling but extremely hot on PnP. Nose of intense strawberry and cedar - it became clear that this wine had lots of backbone and while a Pinot was going to handle steak very well. Started to mellow out over time, nose just kept going, lots of acid. Extremely earthy, very non-Burgundian in style.

Medium ruby red, it has an expressive nose of Asian spices, flowers, raspberry, and cranberry. An elegant, medium-bodied wine with savory, spicy flavors, good concentration and a lengthy finish.

Really nice Oregon pinot. Wish I had more. Bright, clean, not overipe or over acidic.

Scott Paul Wines is an artisanal producer of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, based in historic, downtown Carlton, Oregon. Founders Martha and Scott Wright launched Scott Paul Wines in 1999 (in California), and then moved to the Willamette Valley starting with the 2000 vintage. Prior to opening their own facility in 2006, Scott Paul Wines were produced at the Carlton Winemaker's Studio. Scott also worked as a Managing Director at Domaine Drouhin Oregon for a number of years.

Scott Paul Wines also imports wine directly from small family producers in Burgundy, France and they offer select Burgundies alongside their Oregon Pinots in the winery tasting room.
