Bright medium red. Redcurrant, flowers, spices, orange zest and white pepper on the scented nose. Not a fleshy style but juicy and nicely delineated, with the orange note providing inner-palate lift. Still tight but finishes with nice subtle length. The energy of this excellent village wine really wakes up the palate. Marie-Christine Mugneret noted that the estate's 2008s began with very high levels of malic acidity and finished with very low pHs in the 3.25 to 3.33 range. The 2009s will be pleasurable young, she went on, but the 2008s will be to drink later.Author: Stephen TanzerIssue: March/April 2011Jancis Robinson | Rating: 16
Light crimson. Loose, chestnutty and very light. Fresh and true but I think you would have to be a fan of this domaine to plump for this relatively light rendition. Correct but a bit strict. Also tasted 11 Jan 2010. Score 16. Drink 2012-17:Bright, clear fruit with lots of tart sharp edges but an honesty, even if a little bit of rawness here.Author: Jancis Robinson
