Randy Sloan and Sasha Match have developed a pair of distinct estate vineyards near St. Helena planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. Butterdragon Hill (first vintage 2002) is the home ranch just above the valley floor, and Baconbrook (first vintage 2004), is planted on sparse volcanic, water-deprived soils on Spring Mountain. In total, they comprise not much more than 10 acres of vines and total production is about 800 cases. The wine, made by Cary Gott, is placed in hand-picked accounts by the owners.
