Bright medium ruby. Lively, refined aromas of minerals, crushed rock and flowers. Less dense than the 2007 but supple and sweet, with an enticingly juicy quality to the perfumed flavor of crushed raspberry. Very nicely balanced cabernet, finishing tight but with powdery tannins and subtle length-and not dry.

Full-blown, dense and concentrated, with tiers of blackberry, wild berry, plum and licorice, this persistent red has a long, tightening finish. Pure and perhaps a bit richer and extracted than prior years.

The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon has a slightly denser, fuller personality, with a deep ruby/purple color, a classic nose of spring flowers and cedar wood, and a touch of toasty oak interwoven with black cherry and black currant fruit. It is medium to full-bodied, shows velvety opulence and has a long finish. It should drink well for 15+ years.
