(from a vintage in the Oak Knoll District) Deep ruby-red. Currant, cedar, licorice and violet on the nose. Juicy and on the lean side but with good intensity to the currant, licorice and fresh herb flavors. Firm tannins give this wine good grip.

Dense, rich and extracted, with enticing dark berry, espresso, mocha and graphite. Full-blown, yet graceful and stylish, finishing with a long, persistent and layered finish.
